Minneapolis, Minnesota
While wandering around the Mill District in downtown Minneapolis, I walked around the city, although I kept being drawn to this reflection pool outside one of the massive buildings. With the water barely rippling, you could see a perfect reflection of the buildings around me. This made me think about the reflections through the water. I thought about change and God's change. Author and Pastor Max Lucado says, "God is unchanging; the weather changes, fashion changes, even change changes. God has not changed and cannot and will not ever change." Like this pool I was drawn to, the reflection never changes; the building stays the same. The water might move more or stand completely still, changing the image in what you will see, but the reflection that hits the water will consistently stay the same. Isn't it cool that our God never changes? No matter what the circumstance, no matter the weather, or anything going on in your life, God stays constant.
Hebrew 13:8
"Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever." (ESV)
